We Are Closer To Our Goal!
During the past week, several more pilots have registered to fly our mass arrival. There are currently seventy-one (71) pilots on our list. Of these, sixty (60) pilots have completed all the registration requirements, including the payment of the registration fee. We expect to reach our goal of seventy-five (75) pilots pretty soon. When we reach that number, an alternate or "stand-by" list will be started. Only pilots who have completed the registration process will remain on the main list. The other pilots will be moved to the alternate or "stand-by" list in the order of registration date, starting with the seventy-sixth (76) position.

We encourage every registered pilot who is seriously considering flying the mass arrival, to go ahead and complete the registration process as soon as possible. We also encourage every Cessna pilot out there who wishes to fly the mass arrival with us, to ignore the number of registered pilots, even if that number has surpassed the "magic number" of seventy-five (75). In our experience, and that of other groups that conduct mass arrivals into Oshkosh, there is a significant attrition rate of anywhere between 20 and 30 percent of registered participants during the last four weeks before the arrival. Pilots drop out for any number of reasons, and some who actually launch on their way to Juneau, can't make it to the final briefing on time, due to weather or mechanical problems.

Our final criteria to be included among the seventy-five (75) aircraft flying the arrival is to be present at the start of the final briefing at Dodge County Airport in Juneau, Wisconsin. The first seventy-five (75) pilots who meet the registration and training requirements to be present at roll call in Juneau, will fly the mass arrival. You will have a very good chance to fly the mass arrival, even if you are between the seventy-six (76) and the one-hundred-twenty-five (125) positions on the list.

But don't take chances, register now!
Update On The Philadelphia Formation Clinic

We're sorry! In the March issue of The Pirep, the date of the second Dothan Formation Flight Training Clinic at Dothan Regional Airport (KDHN) was erroneously posted as June 12th, 2010. The correct date is June 19th, 2010.
