Cessnas 2 Oshkosh 2010 Mass Arrival!

Thanks to all the courageous and perseverant pilots, relatives and friends who kept the faith and made the 2010 Cessnas 2 Oshkosh event an unforgettable one.

We did make it to Oshkosh! Congratulations!

A Message From Rodney, Craig and Gil

Welcome to our Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Mass Arrival into AirVenture Oshkosh - The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration!

Gil, Craig and Rodney. As we have done the previous two years, we again partnered with the Cessna Pilots Association to conduct the 2010 mass arrival. Our partnership has two successful arrivals under the belt and we are looking forward to many more in the years to come. John Frank, founder and executive director of the Cessna Pilots Association, and his very capable staff, have again coordinated with the Experimental Aircraft Association's security and ground staff personnel a seamless arrival.

Cessna-Textron is playing a major role in our event this year, including sponsoring several components of our post-arrival celebration at Cessna Base Camp and the recognition of Centurion owners and pilots with medals specially minted for the ocassion. We expect this to be the biggest Cessnas 2 Oshkosh celebration ever.

Centurions in formation on their way to Oshkosh in 2009.This is a special year for Cessna owners and pilots. 2010 is the 50th anniversary of the venerable C210 Centurion. The first prototype of the Centurion was flown in 1957 but it was not until late in 1959 that Cessna announced the addition of the Centurion to the Cessna line of products with the introduction of the 1960 models. For more information on the history of the Centurion, we recommend two articles by John Frank available to members of the Cessna Pilots Association in the publications section.

We appreciate the effort of so many Centurion owners and pilots who have joined us in the 50th anniversary celebration of one of Cessna classics. It will be unforgettable!

Last year's event was a total blast and we have built upon that experience during this year's planning. We are now moving forward with the execution of that plan to insure the success of our arrival and the celebration that will follow in the North 40 for the entire week of AirVenture. We have addressed the concerns and comments voiced after last year's arrival and made the necessary changes to our operation. The Big Tent at Cessna Base Camp as viewed from Perimeter Road.

We're looking forward to seeing you again in the flight briefing in Juneau and safely on the ground at Oshkosh. We feel confident that you will be duly impressed with the improvements we have made. Following is the schedule of events that begin with your arrival in Juneau. We hope you have a fun time. Thank you for your support.
